This recipe is equally enjoyed by kids as well as elders, perfect accompaniment to a cup of hot tea or coffee and is also a quick starter recipe. Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 4-6 persons
Ingredients :
Potatoes boiled and grated : 1 cup
Paneer /cottage cheese : 1/3 cup
Green Chillies chopped : 1 tablespoon or as desired
Onions finely chopped : 2 tablespoons
Coriander chopped : 2 tablespoons
Cornflour : 2 tablespoons
Garam Masala : 1 teaspoon
Mixed herbs : 1 teaspoon
Dry mango powder / amchoor powder : 1 teaspoon
Mozzarella cheese : cut into small cubes for filling
Red Chilli flakes as required for filling
Breadcrumbs : 1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method : Heat oil for frying. In a small bowl mix the mozzarella cheese cubes and red Chilli flakes and keep aside for filling. In a big bowl mix the grated potatoes, Paneer, green Chillies, Coriander, Cornflour, onions, salt, Garam masala powder, mixed herbs and salt and knead to a soft dough. Now take small portions in hand, flatten and stuff with a little mozzarella cheese mixture, now make round popper balls, coat with Breadcrumbs and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Now drain excess oil and serve hot with tomato or sweet chilli sauce.
