An ideal snack or a side dish for fish lovers who want to try out something different. It’s a quick recipe for sudden guests and can be a perfect starter for parties.

Preparation Time : 20 minutes
Marination Time : 1 hour
Serves : 2 persons

Ingredients :

Fish fillet / pieces cut into finger shapes : 400 grams
Turmeric powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Oil for deep frying
Egg : 1
Bread crumbs :1 cup 
Salt as per taste
Pepper powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Green chilli : 2-3 whole
Garlic : 4 cloves
Ginger : 1 tablespoon chopped
Small onions / shallots : 4

Method :

In a mixer, grind the green chillies, garlic, ginger and shallots to a paste.
Add the grinded paste to the fish pieces along with turmeric, salt and mix well. Marinate for 1 hour.

In another bowl break the egg, pepper, salt and beat it, keep aside. Keep the bread crumbs ready in a plate.

Dip each of the fish fingers in egg and roll on the breadcrumbs and set on the plate. Repeat the same for all the fish fingers.Now heat oil in a pan and deep fry. Remove the fish fingers and drain the excess oil. Serve hot along with tomato ketchup or chili sauce.
