This recipe is quick, easy and yummy, perfect for your kids tiffin box. It can also be served as evening snack with tea or coffee.
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 3-4 persons
Brown / white bread : 10 pcs
Butter : 3 tablespoons
Potato : 2 large boiled and mashed
Onion : 1 large chopped
Green Chilies : 2 Chopped
Coriander Leaves: 2 tablespoons chopped
Refined Oil : 3 tablespoons
Jeera / Cumin Seeds : 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard Seeds : 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chili Powder :
Garam Masala Powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Salt as per taste
In a pan heat oil add mustard and cumin seeds and allow to splutter. Add onion, green chili and saute until onion become soft and light brown.Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix. Add the mashed potato and cook for 2-3 minutes in medium heat. Turn off the heat and add coriander leaves.
To make the sandwiches, apply butter on a side of bread, now fill with the potato mixture and cover it with another bread. Apply butter on the outside of the bread also. Place two sandwich on a toaster, grill pan or simple tawa and toast until bread becomes brown and crispy. You can add a little Refined oil while toasting to make the sandwiches more crispy. Serve warm with tomato ketchup.
