Preparation Time : 20 minutes
Serves : 2-3 persons
Refined flour / Maida : 2 cups
Baking powder : ½ tbsp
Lukewarm Water to make the dough
Salt as per taste
Refined Oil : 2 tablespoons
Fresh Methi/ Fenugreek leaves: 1½ cups chopped
Green chillies paste: 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala : 1/2 teaspoon
Ghee : 2 tablespoons
Refined oil for deep frying
Make a Roti/ Chapati /Poori/ Puri Gough by mixing the maida, baking powder, refined oil, salt and little lukewarm water in a bowl. Knead the dough so that it becomes soft.
Now heat a pan and add the ghee. As the ghee becomes hot, add the chopped Methi leaves and green Chilli paste, red chilli powder, Garam Masala and salt into the pan. Saute it mixing all ingredients together and cook till the rawness of the leaves are gone.
Now, roll the dough into small balls and make it into circle Poori/ puri. Stuff the mixture into the Poori, close from all sides, make a ball and roll out again. Dust with a little flour while rolling of required. Deep fry it in hot Refined oil. Serve hot with Potato Curry and pickle.
