For making the most famous pasta in pesto sauce you can use any pasta like penne, spaghetti or bow pasta. This sauce is refreshing and has a bright green colour.

Preparation Time : 20 minutes
Serves : 3-4 persons

Ingredients :
Pasta : 250 grams
Fresh basil leaves : 2 cups
Pine nuts : 1/2 cup toasted
Garlic : 3-4 cloves
Olive oil : 1 cup
Parmesan cheese : 1 cup grated
Salt as per taste
Black pepper powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Baby/ Cherry tomatoes : 10-12 (cut into halves)

Method :

Boil the pasta in a pan in 1 litre of water and salt till just cooked that means al dante with a crunch. Drain the water,  drizzle little oil and keep aside.

In a mixer grinder jar, add the garlic cloves, pine nuts, basil, olive oil and grind into a coarse paste. Add 1/2 cup cheese, salt, pepper and grind until smooth.

Now heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add the pasta and toss well. Now, add the prepared pesto sauce and mix well. Add the baby tomatoes and toss again. Check the salt and pepper seasoning and add a little more if required. The pasta is ready. Garnish with the left parmesan cheese and serve hot.
