Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 4-6 persons
Sago / Sabudana (big) : 1 small cup
Milk : 1 litre
Cardamom / Elaichi powder : 1 teaspoon
Jaggery / Gur : 1/2 cup
Water : 1 cup
Desi Ghee : 1 tablespoon
Raisin : 2 tablespoons chopped
Cashews : 2 tablespoons chopped
Soak the Sago in a cup of water for 5 minutes. Drain excess water and keep aside.
In a pan heat milk and reduce it till its little thick while stirring constantly. This should take about 10-12 minutes. Now add in the soaked Sago. Add the cardamom powder and chopped Cashews. Cook for 5 minutes and turn off the heat. Add the grated jaggery, ghee and raisins, mix well.
