A very common preparation in every household but has different Ingredients that makes it more special. Try out this recipe, I’m sure you will love it!!

Preparation Time : 50 minutes
Serves : 4-6 persons

Ingredients :
Chicken : 1 kg (boneless)
Onion : 8 large
Garlic : 10 cloves
Ginger : 1 inch piece
Green Chilli : 2
Jeera / Cumin whole : 2 tablespoons
Green Cardamom / Elaichi : 6
Laung / Clove : 6
Dalchini / Cinnamon : 1 inch piece
Haldi / Turmeric powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Dhania / coriander powder : 1 teaspoon Salt as per taste
Water as required
Mustard / Refined oil : 8 tablespoons
Yogurt / Dahi : 3 tablespoons
Chicken / Meat masala : 1 tablespoon

Method :

Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, salt and chicken/ meat masala.

In a mixer grinder jar make a paste of 2 onions, ginger, garlic and green chilies.

Make a paste of whole washed cumin, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves using a mortar and pestle  or grinder.

Now heat oil in a pan. Slice the rest Onion and fry till translucent. Add the onion paste, turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes. Now add in the cumin paste and coriander with 2 tablespoons of water and saute till the masala starts leaving oil. Now add in the salt and washed marinated chicken pieces.

On medium heat fry the chicken piece for 10-15minutes. Once the chicken pieces are sautéed well with the masala, add enough water to make the gravy. Cook till the chicken pieces are cooked property.

Serve hot with steamed rice.
