Snacks are anytime munchies loved by all while chatting with guests, watching TV or even reading a book. This recipe of raw banana Fritters is an adaptation of potato Fritters but must say turned out really yummy!!
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 4-6 persons
Raw banana : 4 pealed
Gram flour / Besan : 1/2 cup
Turmeric / Haldi : 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida / Hing : a pinch
Carom seeds / Ajwain : 1/2 teaspoon
Refined oil for deep frying
Red chili powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Dried mango powder / Amchur : 1 teaspoon
Cumin / Jeera powder : 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda : 1/2 teaspoon
Salt as per taste
Water as required
Slice them into thin rounds. Marinate it with little salt and turmeric and keep aside for 5-10 minutes.
In a bowl add gram flour, cooking soda, salt, asofoetida, chili powder, dried mango powder and cumin seed powder. Mix well. Add required water to it to make a semi thick smooth batter.
Heat oil in a pan or kadhai. Dip each banana piece into the batter and coat evenly. Deep fry until golden brown from both sides. Drain excess oil in a kitchen towel.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
