This is a refreshing summer fish curry recipe. Very easy to prepare and indeed delicious. You can use any big fish like King Fish, Pomfret, Bhetki etc to make this Curry.
Preparation Time : 30 minutes
Serves : 4-6 persons
Fish : 6 pieces
Turmeric / Haldi powder : 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander / Dhania leaves : 2 big bunches or 1 cup chopped
Almonds : 9-10
Coconut : 1 cup grated
Refined / Olive oil : 1/2 cup
Garlic : 3 tablespoons chopped
Onion : 3 large sliced
Garam Masala powder : 1/4 teaspoon
Water as required
Salt as per taste
Green Chili : 2
Cream : 3 tablespoons
In a grinder, make a smooth paste of green chili, Coriander, 1 tablespoon garlic, 2 tablespoons Refined oil, salt, almonds and coconut. Keep aside.
Wash the fish pieces and marinate with salt and 1/4vteaspoon Turmeric powder. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the fish pieces until golden brown. Drain excess oil in a kitchen towel and keep aside.
Heat the leftover oil in a pan, add the coriander paste and sauté till the masala starts leaving the oil in the sides of the pan. Add the fish pieces and cook for 2 minutes. Now add the water as required for the gravy. Cook covered for about 3-4 minutes.
Lower the flame and stir in the cream and Garam Masala. Garnish with fresh Coriander and cream, serve hot with steamed rice.
